Post by Sharpe »

Now imnot having that, Medal of honour allied assault is a good game and the add-on will rockz0r so much, You cant argue that the single player in BF1942 is better because really its just the same as MP with bots, Though mohaa Sp wasnt all good i dont like all the behind enemy lines 1 man vs German army but the D-day landing in it was so cool.
I am the game and i make the rules, so move on out or you'll die like a fool.

BF1942 isn't meant as a single player game though, its blatantly aimed at online and lan play. MOHAA for SP and BF1942 for MP, neither of them do the other part very well.

ill stick with me old flashers ta

specially now they have the dev kits out and modders are going ballistic

you can get a sort of RTS hybrid version of opf now, where somone plays as a commander and builds a base and each player can then buy vehicles and troops to command and you have to take over the whole island

each town has a few resistance fighters in it and also theres an opposing team doing the same thing you are

fantisimo

and the guns are good too

i dont think theres a better team based FPS/Action game out at the moment that can beat it

bf1942 is fun...but still a bit arcadey

mohaa, is a ww2 quake mod (sorry but it is)

and you can shove cs where the sun really wouldnt want to shine tbh, the words wank steaming of and pile come to mind

the feeling of playing a co-op or team V team game of opf where people are properly working together (laying ambushes, assaulting from different locations, co-ordinating armour infantry and air) is quality

naturally the other games are still fun (mohaa was a fantastic single player, mohaa is a great instant grat. MP) but for me the total package is still flashpoint.

OFp, IL2, sudden strike series, and the total war series are all I'll ever really rate as proper war games

you can keep your instant gratification, non-realism, war in a box, cherry flavoured games ta, ive got mine

Never played Silent Service II then, or Commandos for starters...

Silent Hunter II! class game.

Nothing beats the hours spent creeping into position to attack an enemy convoy, and then the satisfaction of hearing their hulls buckle as you slink off to avoid the remaining destroyer escorts

Please say I'm not the only one who can sit in front of a map for hours playing submarine games?

commandos was cool!

also these are public forums and this is just stupid cos all that will happen is that they will get blocked by public networks.

so can we have a censcor on them or just ban dav?

I love OFP, but the patch chain you have to use is RIDICULOUS. One patch won't work until another is installed. Have these people ever heard of CS-style full updates?

Yeah it would be nice if they released a full OFP patch, as the patching system they use atm is stupid.

I presume you mean this page where it informs us that:

You have just been eaten by [R]ecoil.Dougal!.

I notice in the FAQ for Outwar it states:

I have created my character, now what do I do? The first thing you need to do is send your secret link to as many people as possible. The more people that click on your secret link, the more money your character will generate per turn.

Perhaps you should email it to your friends rather than use your very first post to this forum linking (or should I say SPAMMING) to a site which not only opens a Pop-up advert  but also has the disgusting piece of filth - Gator Corp Time Shite Spyware thing appear too, infecting unsuspecting newbies.

While I'm at it, you could try to post the link correctly.

0/10 For Effort.... :(
