Righty....

BF1942 = 1.5
DC = 0.6f
Homeworld 2 = 1.1
Homeworld : C = default (can find neither patch nor nocd)
NFS:U = default
Call of Duty = default (fileplanet hath no updates)

All patches will be available on the network. If you think it's wrong, say so here.

Make that 1.0.0.1.

Warcraft 3 = 1.14

Have you got a 1.001 nocd? If not then we'll have to revert, you know what always happens. For starters, my cd/key is at uni.

We've discussed this. No-CD and unhacked clients have time sync issues with each other on HW:C, which causes game splits. Legal copies only.

You've not thought about this have you?

Can everyone use their original CDs? No (mine's at uni for starters).

Can everyone use a NoCD? Yes.

I think you'll find, if you insist on legit copies then there's not going to be anyone playing.

Oh, I thought about it, just at a level beyond mere mortals like yourself :D

I can just imagine the thought processes involved with that one. "Right, I've got a LAN in a week or so, what do I need? Trousers, pants... game CDs? Nah. No point." Monkey :roll:

Grr. I don't like corrupting my clean, legal installs is all. Is it possible to run HW:C off a Daemon Tools drive? If so, that solves the problem, given you monkeys who forgot/didn't buy the game have a keygen somewhere. Can you get hold of one, in addition to the correct software for making the CD images?

Eeeeenyway. I now have a coffee break with a certain someone, then I'm heading off to pack up for the LAN. See you all this evening.

I have to side with Nick on this one. Look, after all the hassle from trying to play with hacked clients in the past, I don't want to go through the pain and anguish that comes from other people not bringing their copies of the game along.

NoCD's just tend to fuck everything up. The only intermediate solution I'd personally be willing to tolerate is a CD-emulator driver, eg Daemon-tools. Anything else is just asking for trouble.
