Pretty much.
Update currently...
First game is playable. I have a whopping 5 controllers plugged in, but have run out of USB ports. And controllers.
The game should be just about finished in the next 4-5 days, I reckon, Then just leaving polish and whatnot. But come along! Bring a friend! (or 3)

have you ever thought about "asking" some joypad manufacturers for some "samples", it'll be in their intrest, if this takes off (which it's got everychance to) then it'll be in they're best intrest to make sure they're products work on your systems and maybe get a "seal of approval" they should go for anything that'll make them sell more joypads
i spose you've got to be in steady legal grounding first tho, incase they go "ooh neva thought of that" and nick yer ideas

Yes we are intending to do that. ..once we have something to show. When the first game is "in beta" as it were, and the site is more ready, we we will go on a big blagging mission. We will even try blagging a projector (at least to borrow!).
As for legal stuff. Meh. Sounds like no fun at all.

From experience blaggin stuff for Shotgun, most companies are more than happy to hand out stuff. Microsoft are probably a good bet as any, they're a quite generous bunch usually

That's encourging. I have blagged a few "review copies" of games in my time

Pete Closs (N0de) is quite good at blagging hardware, maybe I will ask him. And I will try microsoft too, I'm sure you are right that they are too big to worry about it.
billg@microsoft.com, is it?

I see the potential for a con. He he.
Phaliure: Hi mr gates I need all your software to test on this thing I just made
Gates: what is it?
Phaliure: A thing, going to be really good and everyone will have one!
Gates: Wow sounds amazing, here have a copy of every piece of software ever made by microsoft, would you like some hardware as well, just to test
Phaliure: Oh, go on then

"Every bit of software ever made by microsoft"? Surely that is a curse, not a blessing. If I was Bill Gates I would send that package to all my worst enemies.
