the domain shotgunlan.com is valid until 2007 so it would be a waste to not host another lan

Even though you turn the firewall off in XP (SP2) you will also have to enable 'Allow Incoming ICMP' somewhere in some advanced options. I think there's some option to allow port 80 somewhere too.

Avoid netgear wireless, I've had nothing but problems with them...No annoying connection dropping like I've seen with every netgear wireless I've used. You should be able to a bit-by-bit disk-to-disk copy of the drive, thus keeping any partition table and all OS's.

Obviously if the new drive is bigger, you'd need to resise partitions later to fully utilise the whole drive.

is it being released on the xbox and pc on the same day?
