I've got one of these water coolers, they are sweet, quiet as a mouse, and nice. My processor is at a rocksolid 49 degrees, cooler than my enormour old HSF, and many times quieter.

10/10

DjArcas, is that the one from PC World?

Sounded quite good value, but I couldn't find it at my local store.

49 degrees? what is your processor?

That's pretty good considering all the other gear (HDs, PCI cards, etc) in the case.

That's the one... my PC is a full sized chieftec case, and it's *full* of stuff... 'tis the PG rig :)

It's an Athlon XP, er, 2400 I think.

!!!!! you lot have some serious worries !!!!!

with a damn good heat sink + fan combo - never the default fan as i always upgrade it i can get sub 34° easy, the best one i used was the Globalwin CAK4-88T Thermal Control Heatsink with a ThermalTake Smart Case Fan II with "Coolmod" off the overclockers site.

with water cooling i got an athlon 2.5gig barton to run at 22° standard and 26° overclocked and my p4 2.66gig 533 bus chip with uneven cpu die to run at 30° constantly clocked or not

the amd rig was cpu + chipset + geforce fx watercooled but the p4 one is just the cpu + geforce fx only watercooled.......... i do use arctic silver compound tho

if i evened the p4's die out some more and got some better contact it should get cooler, but its one helluva lot quieter than the ThermalTake Smart Case Fan
