That's right kiddies, I been playing about, and SG now has it's own Virtual Private Network (well, my flat has, but close enough )...
What does this mean? It means you can become part of the network in my flat, with an internal IP and all kinds of crap.
Why? For gamage, of course Most games that require you to update to latest versions and so on for play on the net can be played on a local LAN fine... This gives us all a "local" network that games can be played across, such as WC3 without battle.net and all the rest of it.
How? Mail/get hold of me for more details... (ICQ/MSN/IRC)
Does it work? Yes! The inaugral Generals game was played last night, with Chief pimping Middie

It's true, I was quite intensely whupped by Chiefeh =/
I fell for the old 'take it easy ok?' at the start of the game trick. 5 minutes later he has all the oil derricks and is invading my base, while I'm still tinkering with new units I've not had yet. Git.
I'm such a n00b.

Generals rocks online! (I went out and bought it) I had a 190 minute long game last night, it was class.
Anyway, in the MotD when you go online it says you will get consistency errors if you got the 1.2 patch from anywhere other than the games auto-update, or ftp.ea.com - this is why we had so many problems trying to play, we used a 1.2 patch from elsewhere.
I recommend you all update to 1.2 using the in-game auto-update before we try again.
