FTP Stuff..

Right, I'm currently trying to get Reason into some kind of useful state, especially in terms of files available.

Right...here's what I'm making sure I will have...

Latest files for :

Quake 3
UT
UT2k3
Half-Life
BF1942
AG
BF1942 Desert Combat
CnC Generals
Warcraft 3
Medieval Total War :>
IL-2 Sturmovik
Rocket Arena 3
Operation Flashpoint

Are there any other games/mods that people will want to play that I should get files for...I don't care if people already have them and will bring em along, I want every single file we need on an FTP right from the start of the event.

A polite word for people....DO NOT EXPECT YOUR CRACKED INSTALLS OF GAMES TO RUN ON THE NETWORK. We inevitably spend hours getting people into game servers because they have randomly patched/cracked versions. If it's a game you really want to play, then buy it. Simple. It's not like a copy of BF1942/HL is going to break the bank, considering how much use you'll get out of it.

Reason has also got stacks of other mods/patches etc, which will all be on the FTP.

To make this absolutely clear to EVERYBODY....

Before you ask an admin why you can't connect to a game, ask yourself the following questions.

Do I have the latest patch from Reason's FTP installed?
Am I absolutely sure I am not running a cracked version?

If you can answer YES to both those questions, THEN you may ask one of us for help. If we ask you one of the those questions, and you reply 'no', expect a fairly abrupt comeback (depending on admin, time of day, state of drunkenness, quality of current game, etc etc)

Ho hum...rant over...

Anyway.....please post any other files you want on the FTP, cheers[/b]

Planetside: Huge updates required...

Star Wars Galaxies: Again, several hundred megs of patches are needed.

We're not playing either of them at shotgun...

And I know perfectly well that you have access to a nice fat pipe at your work/uni

Gog : grabbed latest Vietcong patch + VC MP Demo + patch, I downloaded the demo ages ago but never got round to playing it...any good?

everyone in planes.. it's excellent!!! and remember with an install of battlefield you can use 1 cd-key for 2 machines due to it having 2 cd's!
