I watched Dan Rather's interview with Saddam Hussein last night,

http://www.cbsnews.com/htdocs/iraq/fram ... rview.html

what do you lot recon? Is Hussein not as much the tyrant he is made out to be or is he still a big fat lier?

[10:20] <+ZiK`> if he is telling the truth, then if anyones the wanky president its bush
[10:20] <+ZiK`> and bush IS a wanky president
[10:20] <+ZiK`> i watched a recent speech by him yesterday, and my god
[10:20] <+ZiK`> propaganda alert!
[10:21] <+ZiK`> brb
[10:34] <+ZiK`> back
[10:35] * garlando is watching that interview
[10:35] <+ZiK`> what do you recon?
[10:35] <garlando> hmmm
[10:38] <+ZiK`> he is quite convincing
[10:38] <garlando> yah
[10:38] <@Kulgan> you reckon he'd be able to stay dictator of iraq without being convincing?
[10:38] <+ZiK`> hehehehe
[10:38] <garlando> no
[10:38] <+ZiK`> that is a good point

sadam used chemical weapons against iran and against his own citizens. simply for that he should be removed from power.

i cant speak for other presidents in the room, but the same rule should apply to any leader of a country who wilfully kills innocent people and uses (or has access to ) weapons of mass destruction (mr bush/blair! )

1. I doubt saddam has a nuke
2. If he had a nuke he doesn't have any way to deliever it other then physically transporting it in a truck or boat. His most likely target would be Israel or USA anyway.

Looks like kick-off is actually going to be at 1am. Must sleep though, early start, and there won't be any meaningful media coverage til the morning.

The likelyhood is that he does have nuke(s)

And even if delivered on the back of a truck, it still does a hell of a lot of dammage

I'd say he most likely doesnt have nukes either. He has no capacity to make them*, which leaves buying them, and even the russians aren't stupid enough to do that. There may be god knows how many films where "rogue states" get hold of stolen nukes, but you can bet your ass that they don't go missing very often, if at all. The security around such devices is heavier than pretty much anything else on the planet. Can you imagine the shit a nation state like Russia or China would be in if the nuclear material from an exploded terrorist nuke was traced back to one of their reactors? They aren't gonna let that happen.

EDIT:
*Ok, let me clarify that... making them is relatively easy, but in order to make one you need the pieces, which is the difficult part. You don't just go down to the local "Ammunation" store and buy weapons grade plutonium, and making it requires a particular type of nuclear reactor (which the Iraqi's don't have) to enrich uranium (which they probably don't have either, although the Russians are supposed to be selling them some for a civilian reactor that was under construction).

There is no conclusive evidence,
If there was then the whole world would be coming down on saddam
But i base my guesses (and they are nothing more) on articles and reports like these below:
Some saying he does have them
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/article ... 2429.shtml
Some saying it is very possible to aquire them if you try (and he probably has), the case of a terrorist organisation is descibed
http://www.csmonitor.com/2001/1205/p1s3-wogi.html

Maybe I am not the only one who should shut the fuck up

The fact is Phaliure, I still think you're a fuckwit, and pasting a couple of links you pulled off Google isn't going to change my opinion. If you're going to post contrary arguments in a thread, then you have to at least *try* and back them up. Given your usual level of mis-informed drivel you post, I felt that stfu.jpg was apt.

Oh, and banned for a while, only admins get to talk to people like that :P
