Un-Offical List of Games for SG19

Post by GVX »

As this will be my first Shotgun Lan could someone enlighten me on what games to bring for the weekends fun!

As far as I can tell, the following games will be played. But if anyone could confirm/add to the list it will be useful for all us Noob's!

Current List!

1. BF1942
2. Doom3
3. UT2004
4. C&C Generals
5. Vietnam
6. War Craft

***Plz add any other definite games to the list and I'll edit my post with the additional games***

ps. I'm a car racing SIM freak so if there's any car games that are played please lemme know!

If by sim you mean ACTUAL sim and not something like TOCA Race Driver, I'd be quite happy to break out Grand Prix Legends at some point :)

If I get off me arse and come to this one I'm in a bit of a strategy mood at the moment. Currently I'm mainly playing Home World 2, C&C Generals ZH and Warcraft 3 TFT.

Otherwise a bit of BF1942, Quake 3 and possibly Far Cry would be good, not keen on Doom 3's multiplayer tbh, but you never know, there could be some nice mods out by Friday. :?

Is UT2004 like the other UT games, in that they are for people who have the reations of a 90 year old?! :P

Not really hitting the sim area there though are we. If we're going arcade... Burnout 3. Nothing else will suffice :)

Openwheel racing is cars like F1 cars, indy cars, go-karts etc. Which have nothing covering the wheels, unlike road based cars which have wings and arches covering the wheels.

Ah, simpler explanation than expected. Surely there can't be that much difference between the games though?

Most open wheeled games tend to have far more realistic phyics, so crashing & not slowing for corners doesnt work very well...

I'm up for MTA. Also, BF1942 desert combat. Seahorse, do you want to go the two of us against the 12 on the other team like ended up happening last time!

Woohoo, GPL!! I'll take on all-comers at that game :) No wussy arcade racers here! ;)

Andrew

EDIT: Oh and NASCAR 2003 is also in my box for those who have allergic reactions to open-wheel racing ;)

If Fable is half as good as it should be I may be in 'sitting in the corner being a beard'-mode most of the weekend ;)

Of course if you'd care for a time trial on your machine... :)
