SG18 - The Monket smileth upon us

Post by PeteTheHair »

And we are indeed blessed.

Forsooth, for those of you that don't realise it, there is a new chance to come and pay homage to that most benevolent of patrons, the SG Monket.

There shall be much feasting, singing and drinking, in amongst the ritual burning of ICS users. With the summer months approaching, should we please the Monket, he shall send us weather suitable for barbequing small furry animals. We are also hoping to persuade Izz to re-enact his enchanting fire-dancing.

Come join with us for this festival of all things monkey-like and alcoholic. There may even be some PCs involved.

Event: SG18
Dates: 21 - 23rd May, 2004
Cost: The classic SG £15 for prepay, £20 on the door.
Location: TS Swiftsure, Aldershot.
Map: http://www.shotgunlan.com/images/venue_map.png

We are yet to confirm the time that evensong shall commence, but we shall inform you as soon as we know. You may signal your intention to attend on the site at www.shotgunlan.com, as usual.

Exalted be the Monket

Pete

Notes for this post:
1 - For those of you with no idea what I'm talking about, this is a LAN. Honest. Go see the site...
2 - I was joking about barbequing small furry animals.
3 - I wasn't joking about ICS users
4 - Be impressed I could be bothered to look up the map :)

That's better than your last attempt Pete.

Still can't go though, even to this most exalted of all lannage events.

Ahh well, shame really, hopefully see you lot in the summer.

Or just because he was bored one night and was stuck for something useful to do.

2 points then...

We always send a second pimpage mail about 2 weeks prior to the event. This is partly to jog people's memories, and partly to get people who intend to come to sign up if they haven't already. Gives us a much better handle on the numbers...

DN3D - Anyone got a copy? I seem to remember we'll have to fart about with IPX and stuff, but the shrink ray is possibly the best multiplayer weapon in any FPS ever. With the possible exclusion of Hexen's chicken thing.

Sorted.
