SG18 - A bit short notice really...

Post by PeteTheHair »

Evening all,

This is all a bit short notice, I realise, but the monkey collective would like to announce that SG18 is going to be taking place on 21-23rd May, 2004, once more at TS Swiftsure in Aldershot.

I normally go to town on these email thingys, but frankly, I'm running out of cunning new ideas. Maybe a creative writing course is in order. Hmm. Ah well.

So, another summer-ish time event. Weather permitting, stand-by for beer, BBQs and monkey-ball out in the sunshine. Lovely.

Event: SG18
Dates: 21 - 23rd May, 2004
Cost : The classic SG £15 for prepay, £20 on the door.
Location: TS Swiftsure, Aldershot. There's a map on the website somewhere.

www.shotgunlan.com for all the relevant bits and bobs, folks...

Pete

...monkey ball here we come! (Maybe even Mario Party Pete?) We need to sort out a bigger BBQ this time and some more sofa's. Is there any furniture warehouses out in that area, we could ram raid and take a whole living room!!! Okay bad idea...
The debate continues...
Who is more attractive?
Wilma or Betty?

We just get to use whatever is lying in the car-boot sale stuff in the corner. Sometimes there are sofas, sometime there aren't :)

Hi....

I know I'm only new here but can I make a comment about the date?

It would be alot easier, flexible if the LAN was the weekend after due to a variety of reasons:

* The Monday after is an A-Level Maths Test. (pure) I expect some people here might be taking it and might want the time to revise.
* If the LAN is moved to the weekend after, it would be half-term the week after... far more people would be able to get there knowing theres a whole week left of half term left, rather than having to go straight to college/school/perhaps work/etc.
* I'm not allowed to go as the maths test mentioned above is the day after. :| :'(

I suggest a move of the date to to the 28th to the 30th of May, if this is impossible due to bookings and stuff, don't worry, I'm only commenting on the choice of dates.

Thanks!

Hi Nic,

I'm afraid there's no potential for rescheduling, as this is the only weekend we can get the venue for the next couple of months. However, we look forward to meeting you (and all the other poor buggers doing A-Levels) at the next SG.

Hey, no internet connection.... Hmmm gonna have to put a long skill on training. A weekend away from Eve would probably do me good though. And getting to wtfpwn! my CEO (ribbo) at BF Vietnam is always nice

I don't have exams, (ever. again!) so I'll be there.

*evil grin*

Blind Man's Quake was just silly. I think we need to run it on a level without big gaping holes, though. :)
