Surely if its front lit you aint gonna be able to see the screen cause of the lamp parts in the way? most phones are back or side lit, I guess it'll be the same sort of thing.

Sounds like the data is long gone but you might still be able to recover the disk, try booting into DOS from a floppy or a win98 cd and using fdisk to clear the master boot record and wipe the partitions... might wanna hang around for a few more ideas before going that far though.

IMO the americans should just stay the fuck away, they poked their noses in on vietnam and look where that got them.
